How Does AppaNail Work?
AppaNail works across four roles: systemic nutrient delivery, nail structure support, circulation support and general wellness.
Magnesium and Vitamin C have the clearest documented structural role here; Pinus Pinaster supports circulation to nail beds.
Four roles, 17 named ingredients
Nail health depends on several factors at once, so the formula is built around four supporting roles.
1. Delivering nutrients systemically
Rather than a topical treatment applied to the nail surface, AppaNail's botanicals are absorbed through the digestive system and carried through the bloodstream, reaching the nail matrix at the base of the nail, where new nail growth actually begins.
2. Supporting nail structure and keratin
Magnesium is involved in protein synthesis relevant to keratin production, the structural protein nails are made of, while Vitamin C supports collagen production relevant to nail structure.
3. Supporting circulation to nail beds
Pinus Pinaster (Maritime Pine Bark) is rich in antioxidant proanthocyanidins and is studied for its association with healthy micro-circulation, relevant to delivering nutrients to the nail bed.
4. Supporting overall wellness
Turmeric and other included botanicals provide antioxidant support, while Vitamin D and other nutrients support general immune wellness, relevant to the broader conditions nails grow under.
What this realistically means
Support is the operative word throughout. AppaNail supplies nutritional inputs relevant to nail structure, circulation and overall wellness; it does not diagnose, treat or cure nail fungus or any other diagnosed nail condition. Because nails grow slowly, roughly 1 to 3 millimeters per month, any nutritional support takes time to become visible as the nail grows out.
